They have a very sweet smell Kitty. My DH can't smell them though, even up close.

I call them 'olfactory hallucinations'. One has visual and auditory hallucinations so why not olfactory? I smell bleach, brownies and Right Guard. I swear we will be driving down the road and all of a sudden I smell brownies in the oven. Hours after my husband leaves the house a HUGE whiff of his Right Guard comes at me. If those are the worse things I smell it's OK

I've heard of olfactory hallucinations. They happen.

I don't think I've had them, but I no longer have much of a sense of smell. Other people are astonished that I don't realize a place is "reeking" of cigarette smoke, for instance.

I get concerned that my cat's litter box may be getting smelly enough to bother people but I wouldn't know.

It's a bit dangerous to have an impaired sense of smell, obviously. You don't always know if a fire starts up, for instance, but that's what smoke detectors are for.

We are a weird bunch aren't we?

I smell dead bugs, they smell musty sweet.
Never let them get close enough when they're alive..

We get Stinkbugs here. They really do stink if you kill them or upset them.
