If I felt like fighting traffic, I could probably go downtown and watch the guys in the tiny Speedos swimming. (I'm in Omaha) I've never gone to that, so I dont know if it's open to the public. I'm guessing it is.

They had Michael Phelps in the newspaper today.

I'm not a Michael Phelps fan. He is just to cocky for me. In the 2008 Olympics they wore the long suits for swimming. After they swam he would usually pull his off his chest and it was just to much for me. I realize that with the tiny bikinis that they wore today he was showing just as much as they were but with these bikinis you now what to expect. There are no surprises. With those long suits I was just to afraid of how low he was going to go with his suit.

LOL, Doydie,

The reason he (and others) pulled down those suits is because they are darned uncomfortable! They literally squeeze you like a sausage to make you more streamlined in the water and after a race it feels like a boa constrictor squeezing you.

My daughter swims and she wears "fast suits" on occasion. The first one she had required me to accompany her to the bathroom so she could get it up again when she finished. With the new regulations, there should be no such issues, as the men's suits are just a tight "jammer" type suit.

I am not much of a Phelps fan either. Ryan Lochte, tho....

Default My favorite sports

As most of you know my number one favorite sport is shooting. My other favorite sport is baseball. I cannot wait for the Olympic Games to watch the shooting competition. I am an NRA instructor and shoot at least twice to three times a week it is my relaxation. It's amazing how fast I can turn money into smoke,

The Olympics are funny. There can be a sport that I won't watch at all but in the Olympics I am glued to the set. I'm not a track and field person but come Olympics......you get the picture.
The artistic ones are my favorite, figure skating in the winter and gymnastics in the summer.

Professional golf is my favorite sport. So I am anxious for the next the Rio Olympics to see that. Also anxious to see who makes the team.
