Default Grim Reaper at your service: Andy Griffith

Farewell to an American legend; may he rest in peace with Barney, Goober and Aunt Bea.

I just heard this on the news. I saw him on a Medicare commercial recently and wondered how long he'd be with us. He looked very tired and spoke so slowly. I enjoyed watching him in everything he did. There just aren't actors like him anymore. RIP Andy.

He was wonderful at bringing wholesome goodness to your living room. Even the duggars are allowed to watch. He will be missed.

I just read that they already buried him. He died at 7am this morning (eastern time) and it's not even 12hrs later. (it's 6pm eastern right now)

News article I just read said that he was "laid to rest" on Roanoke Island. Whether that means buried or cremated or whatever, they didnt waste any time.

I think one of our local stations that shows old tv shows is already planning on an Andy Griffith Show marathon and a Matlock marathon later this weekend. I'm not that big a fan of The Andy Griffith Show, but I always thought Matlock was pretty cool. I have to look and see what episodes they'll be showing of that and set the DVR.

It was at his request. He made those wishes known beforehand. He wanted to be buried on his family farm on Roanoke Island.

I grew up watching Andy Griffith show reruns and I loved Matlock. He was a true TV legend.

This story about his funeral just popped up on our local news.

I think that's pretty efficient. If someone has the time and means to do it. I think it's good they had it planned out that way and it apparently was done without any problems. It pays to have everything planned out for when that happens. I wonder if it was less stressful on his family.

He was a major star in my raising as a child. He was in a great movie, that will be one to watch over and over, "No Time for Sergeants." He will be missed in our hearts. RIP
