Default Is it OK to kill my husband? LOL

I have done so much researching on this vacation, where to stay, what to do, flying vs train, best time to go, etc. So I finally found the place I want to be. Flight, hotel 4 nights, 5 days, car, scooter. You name it I have researched it. Never found the scooter. So my final cost minus baggage fees is $3400. STOP, why this interest in Maine? He has been telling all our freinds about going to Maine, seeing the National park, colors, ocean. Now when I tell him the cost it is a no go. I am so frustrated I want to go out and eat a whole gallon of ice cream.

I say, eat the gallon of ice cream first, THEN kill him. Wouldn't want all that blood to destroy your appetite.

Tell him this is YOUR plan, unless he can come up with one to meet or beat it...your plan will go into play on X date. Come X day I am BOOKING the NON REFUNDABLE flights, and we will be committed so, you have till X date to show me a better way.

Follow it up with a "you know how much I love you, but I have worked really hard on this, and you have made it seem like I just threw money at it, and picked the first thing that landed on my plate. I DARE YOU to do it for 1 hour. Then come back and tell me to book the flight.

I want us all to have a good time in a place you have dreamed about. This is the best, final option I can come up with unless you want to drive, sleep in tents that we pitch on the side of the road on the way, and eat out of dumpsters. Its up to you now. Fix it or tell me to book it.

Then...go pick up your book and rest.

in short the answer to your question is: Yes, it is fine to kill your husband

where in ME are you planning to be, as I may know of a company to rent a scooter?

Was there any talk of a vacation budget before hand??
Maybe he didn't realize the prices for those kinds of trips.

Does the cost include meals & extras too, those can add up..

Technically yes, but look the judge in the eye after you explain "See, Your Honor, that's why I had to kill him".

If you get a female judge, no worries. A male could go either way.

So funny! My DH does the same thing with the vacation planning. He'll say, "I have some time off, want to go somewhere, maybe the beach?" So I'll spend hours & hours online trying to find the most economical place that can accomodate me, offer him 2 or 3 options, and he's all like "WHAT!!!! Are you kidding? We can't afford that!" I LOVED some of your suggestions!!!! I have already been thinking about taking my next vacation alllllll alone - much cheaper, and no fighting about the details.

Oh, and does your DH do this - you take a major trip to a great destination, and he's so put out over the cost of the trip that once you get there he won't let you actually do anything? We went to the Black Hills (drove, from Arkansas), stayed in a midrange hotel, saw the national monuments, and other than that just drove around. He wouldn't let me go to any of the museums, or go horseback riding, or to the snake show. We did see some beautiful country and lots of buffalo and other wildlife, but I still felt deprived.

My husband has gotten better aout me spending money while actually there on vacation. When we went to Disney World I told him I was taking $150, $50 to spend on the grand kids and $100 on myself. He always makes me feel terrible in spending it while he is shopping with me so I took my daughter with me. She totally understands her Dad and wants the best for me. Don't know what I would do without her. So we had a couple of shopping sprees and did quite well. I bought some Mickey Mouse crocs and a Disney Hoodie, those were my big items then some other small things.

The latest on our trip planning to Branson. Iknow that a person can not just up and totally change their anger, they have to work on it and it has to be deliberate. But I also know that I can't expect him on the day before we go on vacation to say "oh, I have to work on my anger!!!'. So it has to be a long process. So this week there has been no change at all just driving around in our city. The smallest thing will tick him off. I mentioned nicely that he needs to start working on this road rage so we can go on vacation. Yeah, I know. So i just finally told him I am no longer doing any planing until I see that he is working on his half of the bargain. So that set him off again. He loves to take our oldest daughter and family which includes a 5 and ten year old on vacation or just anywhere. My daughter doesn't want her kids to even here the word idiot as referring to some one. He is totally able to control himself when we make these long trips with them. Why can't he with just me.
