Default Ann Romney's MS

So what do ya'll think? I'm cautiously optimistic that we will get some positive attention although for those that are really struggling thanks to the monster, Ann appears to be functioning fairly well so I'm not sure if that is a help or hinderance.

I do think it would be wonderful for someone in power to have such a connection to MS with regard to the future of research and disability issues. Here is a decent article:

I sure don't envy her this job. Especially at age 63. Thats about the time my MS put me in a scooter, pretty much permanently an also the year my DH became so ill and died.

I hope she can get through it ok. I hope she has a good medical team support.

She doesn't seem as physically disabled as some with MS. But that just shows how varied it can be. She might have more cognitive sx right now.

I agree with Sally. I sure don't envy the schedule she has to keep. There is no way I could do that. No way.

Just think of what are taxpaying money is going to do to treat her. I know, that was kind of a snide remark. I didn't mean it bad at all. I am sorry she has it but as you all have said I hope it will bring some light to the disease and more money for research

I went to the MS page to see if anyone else said anything and posted out there first. sorry.

I too am hoping that folks will get a glimpse into how hard MS can be.

I do admire AR for her stamina and grace while being in the public eye with a nasty disease like MS. It would probably help our cause if she complained a bit more, but I applaud her strength.

I agree....but can you imagine the field day the media would have if she even uttered one word of complaint? They'll ruin it for everyone and nobody will benefit.

I googled the ABC interview, and I thought she expressed herself in a way that would be helpful for my friends and family to hear. I really liked her explaining how most people have a "reserve tank" when they hit empty, but with MS, there is no reserve tank.

I tried to copy and post the link, but my brain's on strike this morning. Sorry.

Yeah, I'd like her more if her MS was more on the left like mine, too...
