I haven't been taking any kind of treatment for several years now for my psoriasis because it really is so temporary and is expensive and I am not a vain person. Now if it were on my face or arms I might feel different. My neuro started me on a high dose Vit D about 6 months ago. I have just now noticed that my plaques on my lower legs is better. I know Vit D is the sunshine vitamin so is this improvement related? If so I was wondering if I could poke a hole in my cute little gel capsules and rub it on my plaques.

My dd has psoriasis. She gets horrible patches on her arms and legs and on her head and eyebrows. How much "high dose" vitamin D do you take? Would be something for her to check out.

Yes, one treatment for psoriasis is Dovonex cream and ointment.
My husband used it successfully a couple of years ago. Dovonex is a vit D analog compound used topically. We also both take Vit D3, 10,000 IU every other day. He says being in the sun always helps his too. He is lucky he has not needed steroids or stronger medications for it. But at one time before the D3 he was a MESS.

Gee, I think D3 must be helping my psoriasis too. I have a mild case on hand palms and feet. LDN is supposed to help and I think it has, but even better since the 5000iu D3 every day.
Thanks Doydie.

I am going to try these Vit D gelcaps topically. Only problem is that the worst of it is under my clothing. So I guess that means going to put my jammies on and putting it on my tummie.
