Default Another bad headache

This one isn't anything like the one I had last week. It was focused on the right side and involved my eye, jaw and everything in between. I went to bed with this one, slept fitfully with it, woke up with it and have had it all day. Headaches do not make good bedfellows. It starts in the back of my neck, hurts to move my head, am slightly nauseated and my stomach hurts. My arms feel lifeless, not numb or unable to use them. I just feel like they have no energy in them at all. I can't concentrate on anything. I have some Lortab but I know how drousy it makes me feel and I don't want that until bedtime. I have been taking Tylenol but I always worry about my liver and I know what my liver enzumes are due to my Avonex so I try to protect my poor liver I guess if this is the same on Monday I will call the doctor.

Doydie,

I am sorry that you are suffering. Some of this is reminiscent of Trigeminal Neuralgia. Look at the branches of the TN that go behind the eye and see what you think.

TN can be constant- I have that lovely variety.

Certainly see someone- no need to suffer. And the weather socks.

I have TN. I take Tegretol for it and it has been well controlled for about 15 years. My initial symptoms of it weren't what I have now but I know it can change.

I went and took an extra Tegretol to see if that helps. I am approved for 5 a day and I have been fine with 3 for so many years

Maybe it's TMJ? Do you have trouble chewing, or clench and grind your teeth? I had it, affected my right arm shoulder head was miserable. Dentist can help, I finally had surgery.

I don't think it is TMJ. I don't do any of those tings. I remember when I first had this many years ago I didn't know whether to go to a dentist, odotonics, eye ear and nose and troat doctor, family doctor or psychiatrist. I decided to start with my own doctor because of how compassionate he always has shown. When he listened to my symptoms he immediately ordered Tegretol and it worked. My neuro said that it was more than likely my first symptom of MS. It's jsut that it was the only one I had at the time.
