Default Same old story

We have been living off an antennae for reception for our tv's. Well, Im pretty much home bound and wanted some variety for a change. Well, we ordered satelite. We were so excited! We've been waiting a week for installation. Well, after about 10 minutes the installer came back and said
"Well, your not going to like this, but there is no line of sight. You cant get a signal here, so I cant install the dish." WTH!!! I had such plans for my television viewing pleasure!! Ghost Hunters, House Hunters, and so much more and the grand poobah, the Chicago Bears game thursday nite!!! Being originally from Chicago, I have missed watching them since our move down south. All now ruined by that blasted batch of trees outside!!! Oh mother nature, what have I done to you to deserve this?? Same thing happend at our last apartment. Will never do comcast, again!! They are the ones that drove us to antennae's. Guess AT&T will get our business now. They are our last resort

I can't say that I would do sattelite if given the choice. We have had two outages. One lasted quite a few hours and the other about 30 minutes. Well I guess I should say that with the first big one eventually the power went out also so if we had cable it would have gone out. Is there a way when you have a dish, we have Directv, that you can switch over to regular tv?
