Thanks you guys, I'm not all that selfless, because, if I was in better shape, he'd be staying here, except, I'd be able to take him out for walks and stuff.:o

An adult inside cat might be nice, but they need care too..to the vets an stuff. I'll give it a little time and see how I do. Maybe a bird..:D

You are totally doing the right thing for the dog and although it is difficult emotionally, you have done the right thing for yourself.

If you want a companion, consider an older rescue cat rather than a bird. Bird cages are an onerous task and cat litter boxes now can be purchased that self clean.

A lot of shelters almost give away their older cats, I paid $5 for my orange cat. Since my felines are indoor, they do not need any more vaccinations. Other than food and litter, there is no other real cost for a cat.

Plus you save an innocent from a life in a cage.

I admire that you gave your dog a better life. I love both cats and dogs and I applaud you for recognizing and loving so much. Kudos Sally.

I love you, Sally.

This is going to hurt for a while. I hope the kids send you email pix and maybe even bring him over for a visit once in a while. He'll be missing you.

Yes, leave your avatar with Pal in place! May it give you as much comfort as me using my first Rottweiler (Sparky) as a username. :)

SallyC., for what it's worth I think you are doing the right thing. Not easy for you though. An adult cat might be the answer for you. They are pretty self sufficient and as mentioned a self cleaning litter box would be great.

I really wish our Humane Society would offer cats for not much money but they seem to want about $110.00 for them no matter if they are kittens or adults. Not in the picture for me.

Pal will have a good home as he's been there before as you said and so he knows them. Take care. And please leave the picture up. Sooooo cute. :)

DD and two Grands just picked him up. He looked surprised but went quietly and I think, gladly:D. Haven't cried yet, but there will be moments, always.:(

DD thinks I'm doing the right thing and promised to take good care of him. She knows he will love going outdoors again.

He must have known, because, he who never misses a meal, didn't eat a bite today and I had chicken breast cubes in there!!!

I'm having some pity food..chocolate frozen yogurt and marshmallow sauce.:p I hope I can stomach it. Nerves give me diarhea.

Will not sleep tonight, because Pal sleeps all day and keeps me up at night. Julie will put him in his pen at night and she can sleep thru a tornado..:D

More of my soap opera later. Thanks for seeing me thru this. I just couldn't survive without you. I love you too Ann and all of you.
