Just read your post my dear friend. You did the right thing. I have
days when I look at Sage and say you need someone to play with and walk
with.

When I first got her I was able to do all that, I don't know if I will be
able to do what you did. You are a strong and loving person, thinking of
the dog first and not yourself.

One thing that is great is, that she is still in the family so it will be easy
for you to have a visit with her.

Take care

Jappy

Aww, he just fits right in there! I think you made a fantastic decision, Sally. A win-win for everyone.

I admit he's a bit too much for me to handle now. He was doing well with going on his papers but he doesn't see well now and misses 3/4ths of the time. I do evrythg from my scooter and it's tough to clean up his messes 6 times a day, evry day.. Then I must sanitize the floor each time too.

But when I thought he was enjoying his life, I was willing to do it, but now I don't think he is. DD said she and kids would love to have him. They didn't want to bring him back when I came home from hosp. last year.

What do you think? Am I doing the right thing?

He's beautiful, Sally. What a lucky doggie - he now has twice as much love.

I think he is happy again and I love it. I've been a bore and a drag for a long time. Should have done it sooner but wasn't ready to let go.

I have discovered new strength since he left. At first I just wanted to keep busy so I would have time to miss him so much. It seems that cleaning and caring for him and being at his beck and call 24/7 and the worry of his health and well being, used up all of my MS energy. After cleaning up his poop, I was pooped..

I just realised. Noone is here to react to my funny noises anymore! My sneezes, hiccups, grunts and groans. And noone looks at me funny, when I talk to myself or looks at me as if to say.."Huh, washu talkin ta me"

I have to wake myself up now. Pal used to force me to get up. when he thought I should...grrrrr.

Who will come to lick my face, if I fall now? 911? I think not.

Sal,
I fell the other day and as I always have my cell phone called the EMTs. 2 young firemen came and had me up in a jiffy. OMG! Cute!!!!!!!! Nobody licked my face, but what a picture they were!!! Beautiful polite young men.

Every moment of every day/night that you feel sad and alone is equal to how each cat may feel as well. Your Pal is happy, you deserve a little happiness in return for your selfless decision.

Here are some pictures of cats at our local shelter.

I am sure you can find your furever friend. I would not wait, no reason to delay company and with the cold weather, a cuddle buddy is just a moment away.

So while you contemplate, check out these furry friends.
