Default Sliced my finger open today.

We just got home from a great reunion, and I was cleaning the huge mess in the kitchen and sliced my finger on a food processor blade. I drove myself to the ER, DH didn't think it was bad enough to go, but they gave me three stitches, after a $200 deductible.

That stinks! I got rid of my blender and food processor. I was skeered of the blades. My fingers aren't that coordinated now, and I want to keep all ten of them. (They were a birthday present from my mother)

Oh no, Wiz! Ow Ow Ow! Take care of it and heal fast.

BTW ~ vitamin E oil prevents scars. When it is almost healed is the time to apply it.

I'm glad you got to the hospital. Especially where they had to give you stitches. It must've been a really bad wound huh? Here's to quick healing!

Yikes! I hope you'll heal up fast.

I've never had a food processor and wouldn't trust myself with one nowadays.

I agree that keeping your fingers is a really good idea.

The cut went right to the bone on my right ring finger, on top, just before the knuckle. The finger is bruised and swollen today, I need to get the antibiotics filled that the doctor gave me. I wasn't going to, but I was thinking of staph infections so I reconsidered. Those blades are really sharp! I'll be more careful in the future.

I took a picture before they wrapped it.

The fingers or the blender or both?
