Tongue Heatwave!

It seems the northern states are hotter than Georgia these days.

My sister is in the VA/Washington DC area and she said it's horribly hot there.

It's been hot here but only in the upper 80's and some low 90's. It's humid, too, which makes it seem worse.

I hope everyone up North is doing okay. I know alot of you don't have A/C and I feel for those who don't. Especially those with MS who don't have it. I might have to go to a hotel if I didn't have A/C. Might be a flea-bag hotel but as long as it has A/C I'll deal with it!

It is horrible...yes. Thanks for the sentiments.

It is 60 degrees cooler upNorth...I just looked! sigh.

Supposed to come down starting tonight, but we are in for some strong storms right now. It is very black out in fact.

We've got a stormy weekend to look forward to here, too. At least it cools it off for a bit......but afterwards it's like a sauna.

I keep putting ice cubes in the outside kitties water bowl. I wish I could bring them all inside but that would be disastrous!

Our frig died Weds overnight. The new one is coming Monday so far. Got the call to verify this morning.

Some food in our traveling cooler, and some in the freezer with ice bags. All the frozen things have thawed and we will throw them out, next pick up. The bottom is holding but not really cold but
enough for average things.

Hubby went out for pizza tonight. I have one steak left that is just thawed and will cook it up tomorrow.

Maya is having a good time with the thawing shrimp! LOL

It will be a battle on Monday. Taking the doors off, etc. ugh.

This has been the most miserable week! Rounded off temps: Monday 90, Tuesday 89, Wednesday 93, Thursday 88, and today 93. And we're in the COOL part of the state! Where my daughter lives, also in VT, it was 98 today. And high humidity!

We have an air conditioner in the bedroom, but you can't stay in there all day. And when you come out--it's like getting punched in the stomach.

It's just within the last few minutes dipped below 80, but still 85 in the house. The good news is, Sunday's high is expected to be around 72 and Sunday night is supposed to be in the low- to mid-forties. No, that's not a typo. 40's.

The high was reported to be 94 here today with the humidity factored in over 100. It's been 90 or above for 3 - 4 days now, but is expected to cool off a bit tonight, er... after the storms pass thru.

My dog races me to the air conditioned bedroom, and all his legs work!
