I've been home bound today too...and have accomplished very little. Managed to bath, get dressed, feed myself as well as the dog and cat, clean the litter box and take the dog around the block a couple of times.

The rest of the time, other than visiting here, I've pretty much sat in the living room, too stunned to do anything.

It feels like I've been in a time warp or something.
I got up at 3:00am, and it is now 3:00 pm here.

Hi trik, If you are feeling like time is going too fast, it really does the older you get. Lovely.....humph..... by the time you are 60 it is more than double than of the" time" frame for a child. It has to do with our perception and physics in some form. Some days I get angry that it is over, and I just started....it is weird.... Have a great rest of the evening. ginnie

Erika - I'm kind of still in my PJs. I have my PJ top on and some yoga pants. I never got to change today. I guess it's lucky for me as all I have to do is put PJ pants on and I'm ready for bed.

Don't feel bad, Trisha. There are many days I don't get "dressed".....which means I change from the PJ's I slept in to a fresh, clean set of PJ's!

What's the point if I'm not going anywhere or having company? And depending on who the company is I might just stay in my "lounging clothes". My kids are used to seeing me in comfortable clothes.

ginnie, my 12 year old GD is on the honor roll all the time, usually all As. But when I try to get her involved in a discussion about geography or social studies or even have her do something simple in math in the kitchen she has trouble. I don't know what they are teaching them. The 7 year old who is in 1st grade is in a special arts program at her school and the things she has been taught! WOW. Maybe they stop at elementary school. At Thanksgiving they were playing a game and she was keeping a running score in her head. She got a score of 105 three times in a row so I asked her how much of a total that was. She stood and thought and immediately came up with the right answer. Their county in Kentucky has this really neat program in which all the kindergartners in the county go o one school and that is the only grade taught there. So everything is geared to that age group and size of kid. Then in the elementary school 1st and 2nd graders are called primary grades. It is in one big classroom with a separation between the two classes. If a child needs to be in the 1st grade in one class but the 2nd on another one he is. There is another grade that some children are assigned to be a mentor to others in the class. And if there is a new student that comes in throughout the year, one of these kids will be assigned to them, write them a welcome letter and then be their instant buddy. The 12 year old really enjoyed doing that. Now she is ion middle school which is right next to the elementary school. The middle school starts about 45 minutes later so she goes over to the elementary school and does copying, running or whatever duties are needed for one of the teachers. She really thrives in school.

Sorry didn't mean tog o on and on about my grand children but I think they are pretty special.

I used to wake up in the morning dreading my day. Well, may be dreading is too strong of a word but I wake up in such pain sometimes that I know my day is not going to go well. So, I changed my morning thought patterns. I lay in bed and just thank God for this day and always ask, "What are you going to surprise me with today" or "What are you going to bring me today" or something along those lines. For some reason it just puts a more positive spin on my morning. It sets me up to just accept what comes my way during the day. And, it's cozy laying in bed talking to God about all sorts of things. It's my morning pleasure. Also, since I can't just hop out of bed right away anymore, I take advantage of that time to speak with Him instead of moaning about the pain I am waking up to.

OK...I give up. What is that? I know what Chia seeds are, but a cha cha plant or pet? Not in my vocabulary.
