Sally,
Wish I could give you a loving tight squeeze and let you know how much a lot of us will be sad to say "Thank you and Good Bye" to our buddy Pal. His antics brought joy to so many of us. You did the bravest and kindest thing, for not only your daughter - but for Pal. May you both meet again one day at the Bridge.

DD is in Chicago on business this week, so this weekend is probably
when she will do the deed. Told her to take DGD with her, for moral support. Thank you all so much, for being here for me/us. . It's the hardest thing I've had to do, since saying goodbye to DH, 10 years ago. Never thought I would miss having a fur baby, as much as I do this day...

Aw Sally, this is tough to hear. I'm sorry. If Pal is hurting and unhappy, the time is right.

Julie just text me, to tell me that my "Pal is now in heaven with
Augie Doggie, Sugar Pie and Daddy". She is having him cremated and scattering his ashes in DH/Daddys garden plot.

It's a very hard thing, Sally.
Maybe look at some old pictures of Pal and have a cup of tea. Let the tears come. Hopefully there are some silly pics in your collection, too. ANN |

I'm so sorry Sally.
They give us so much, but then take a little piece of us when they go, don't they? With love, Erika |

Sally, have you ever read the old book "Where the Red Fern Grows"? It's a tear-jerker, I warn you. But thinking of Pal being a part of a garden made me think of it right away. Maybe an unexpected flower will grow for him.
