Default Twitter

Okay, I'll admit I'm not the most technologically savvy person out there but can anyone explain Twitter to me?

What is the point of it?

Is it something best used on your phone?

I'm just not gettin' it.

IMO Twitter has become a platform for people to feel important.
Get a chance to respond to famous people-- that is a sort of power too. Maybe become "famous" yourself!

At its best, it is a platform to contact people for events or to pass on information. At its worst, it is full of narcissistic self important comments, rudeness, inappropriate behavior, etc.

It is just another extension of our lives into a digital world. There is no privacy there, it appears to me. If that is what you are looking for, then go for it!

Sounds alot like Facebook!

I think I'll pass on it. Sounds too much like something grade school kids would latch onto. Plus, who needs MORE drama??

Here is an example of a positive Twitter outcome.

However, I've not seen many of these!

Default Hi Kitty

I am not PC savvy either. Twitter what? I have no desire to add another tecky thing. I don't even have a cell phone, and lucky I can do this obsolete PC at all. I think the twitter is just wasting time unless you are into everybody else. I don't use face book either. Rather be here where at least there is great communication. An old fashioned book is my answer. Have a good night kitty. ginnie

I like Facebook because I can keep in touch with family and friends from all over the world.

I can't get the hang of Twitter, it confuses me. I don't get the whole hashtag, tweet thing. I guess my age is showing.

I joined Twitter because I thought it was like FB, but it isn't. It's
weird and confusing. . I never go there, but keep getting e-mails
from them.. How do I unsubscribe???

LOL, Wiz! I get so tired of hearing "hashtag" this and "hashtag" that. I thought # was the symbol for pound! Or number!
