Default I really hate cancer
I am mourning the loss of a life long friend of mine who just lost his battle with colon cancer on 11/30/13, a day before his one year wedding anniversary. I still can't think of him without crying. His poor wife. He has suffered so much in the past 5 years. His first wife literally dropped dead after attending a funeral in 2008.

That was one year to the date of my wedding. She had a heart condition. They were married for 16yrs. He meets Simone a year later and they date for awhile and then he comes down with colon cancer. Things are looking up, like a remission is in his future, so they married Dec 1, 2012. Earlier this year he moves to DC to be by her and her work and he finds a great oncologist, doc says she has hopes he can be curable.

Then all of a sudden my friend develops horrible side pain, doc says its his liver, its inflamed, its the cancer, tried a procedure to get down the inflammation, it didn't work. Doc says, all she can do now is make him comfortable. Some of the worst words you ever want to hear come out of a doctors mouth. He's moved to ICU, and within a few days, he's gone. He was only 44yrs old. We've been friends since we were 3. So, if Im not on for awhile, this is why. Its like losing a brother. With everything else going on with me, this is just the icing I really can't handle.


R.I.P. my dear friend, for I will see you again one day. Say hi to my sister while you're up there, if you haven't already. I miss you already!

Left disabled after 2 previous flares
Betaseron '02, Copaxone '12, Tecfidera '13
(allergic reaction to all)
No longer taking any MS therapy meds

I'm sorry for your loss. It really takes a lot of young people. I'm sorry they couldn't help him.
