I must have ESP! I predicted today would be a good day for a nap, and it is! That's what I'm going to do, as soon as I get finished eating chocolate. Merry Christmas!

Our son is roasting the turkey and making all the side dishes. I made some of my famous spicy guacamole for an appetizer. I'll go pick up our other son soon. He broke up with his girlfriend and I am sad about that but I'm so thankful for all of the other blessings we have.

Rocky and Daisy got catnip mice for Christmas, and I have gift bags for the boys. It will be nice to celebrate, then early to bed so I can work tomorrow and help all the folks who got new gadgets.

You said it Sally, 'thanks to DD'. It is so wonderful when you get to the point in your life that your daughter is taking over the role you used to play. Just makes you fell all warm and fuzzy like you know you did something right. Especially when this daughter was the rebellious one and you wondered what the future would hold.

It was good to day with our simple little lunch of ham and turkey sandwiches and fixins that is s simple enough lunch my sister and I could do it on our own and wait on our kids. At our big holiday meals it my daughter and her son and his wife that do most of the cooking. So today we served them

We had a simple lunch, too. Both my boys requested Ham and Cheese Sliders......recipe to follow.....and that's what I fixed. They are SO good. We save them for special occasions so we don't get tired of them. I don't eat meat so I made a few with just cheese for me.

Ho Ho Ho!

I'm still playing Santa's elf and will be delivering turkey soup later today to the shut-ins that we delivered turkey dinners to. The stock with all of the bones and trimmings was simmering for most of the afternoon yesterday, and then was strained and set outside (it's 30F) to cool and to let the fat solidify.

The vegetables are all cut up for it and I picked up some gluten/wheat free mixed grain whole egg noodles to put in it; as some people are off wheat/gluten. So I'll be removing the fat from the soup and putting the soup on to simmer with the vegetables and meat trimmings in a little while.

After the soup is delivered, the Santa hat gets put away for another year and this elf will settle in for a few days of R & R with Willy and Ziggy

With love, Erika

I am here and I am doing rather well. I sort of disappeared, through some of the court dates, I'd had with my ex. Long story, filled with dramatic moments, but enough about him!

Hope everyone had a decent holiday, mine wasn't too bad. Instead of staying home with a PJ day, I ended up driving down to the South Shore (of MA) and visiting my dad. Some of my plans, changed, due to an ice storm in Maine, delaying my Grams visit to today, and so, I squeezed his and my schedule into a big holiday, visit, sort of a momentous moment, when one stops and considers our history. [dads and mine]. Landed down on Cape Cod, as my stepmom's brother invited me and the boys for dinner, since we were a surprise visit to my dad[sort of surprise, planned on the Eve].

As my stepmom asked, 'How's the Love Life', I'll answer here, it's alive and doing rather well. Hit a small bump in the road, with a long time, on-line, never met before, once titled gf, then bumped down to friend; And she's now bumped to no contact, as I discovered, she was calling him, near daily, to sob on his shoulder or whatever it is that she does, and frankly, I am ok, about men/women casual acquaintance, hey how you do friends, but in all reality, it was a bit too much. She's still around online and it seems her and a 'friend' are bashing the heck out of me, but hey, how does one actually 'prove' much, these days, if the insults aren't 'direct', eh? He's not part of my online life, but the more he sees, the more he realizes, wow...don't want much to do with her..gets what I meant, more now than ever...

But OK...HEALTH!!.. I sucked it up, and had an MRI and follow up neuro appointment, this fall. Waltzed my (now size 8 tall) self right into his office, and declared that, yes, I feel, that since I have MS, having regular check ups are important, at the same time, I pleaded my case, to not take the meds being offered, Tysabri and the Oral MS Pill. Sooooo, MRI results came back. I leaned back in that chair, the moment he said NO NEW LESIONS, as if to say, "you don't say?!" and that 'rested my case', on ms med free

It had been 2 years since my last MRI, GREAT MS News, for me!

I am awaiting paperwork, back from a constable. I've attempted to have my ex served with Complaints for Modification for Full Legal Custody and Removal of my children out of the Commonwealth of MA. Yes, I desire to relocate, across the country and yes, my bf and myself, are in serious discussions about a long term future together. We are discussing and attempting to arrange a New England visit, V-day is approaching, with my birthday, two weeks prior . And he's been on-line researching New England for what's available for his main hobby. So, if removal isn't approved, hey, this area, is still on the table of discussions.

Life, isn't all that bad. And I hope, all is well, over here!! Been thinking of many of you! I'm feeling like that long lost family member, that goes off yonder travelling the globe and randomly touches base, with her family!!

Here's to a new upcoming 2014!!

Kitty, you took the words right out of my mouth. Erika would be a wonderful neighbor to have. I wish my Mom had had her as a neighbor, maybe she would have been able to stay in her house longer.

Gladys, you have been one busy lady! Glad your MRI looked good and good luck with your BF and where that relationship is taking you. Everyone deserves as much happiness as they can squeeze into this short life
