Default Large winter wild-land fires.

It has been an eventful couple of days here. My husband spent about 13 hours yesterday fighting two large wild-land fires about 15 minutes from our home. Of course days like that make for a nervous wreck of a wife (well, actually, many in our area), but someone has to do it. Now the forestry department is fighting it and it is far from out, but our boys are home safe!

It has been one very dry winter here and without A LOT of rain soon we are going to be in big trouble here!

It is so odd to have a forest fire this time of year, so close to the coast too, and the lack of rain & snow in Oregon this year is very unusual.

I sure hope they can get the fires under control soon.

WOW NM that is terrible. So sorry for your worry and fright. I pray, for all
of your sakes, that the fire is out soon and that there are no casualties.
