Default Fat Tuesday

It's Fat Tuesday! Throw me some beads!

My mom is so happy. Nah, she isn't giving anything up- she's going to all the fish dinners!

I'd like to pig out but I am just learning that I'm gluten something. It was between that and lactose and it was not lactose. So, I have been trying to find tasty gluten free bread. I found waffles and fabulous crackers but the bread is nothing like bread- it's gummy- even toasted. I'm not sure how I will celebrate tonight. Maybe the crackers w a salad.

Last night we drove to a local grocery that has the best corn muffins. Big and crispy. I know there is flour in there but I ate half of one w lots of butter and I paid for it all night. I still have another one and a half. ;(

What are you doing for Fat Tuesday or giving up for lent?

Since this is my only day off this week we are going to our favorite Mexican restaurant tonight. I didn't even know it was Fat Tuesday. I don't give up food for lent because of my MS, it is too complicated, but I will think of something else I can do that will have a positive result.

That is a good point, Wiz. Six weeks is a good amount of time to break a bad habit or add a good one. Exercise or stretching, or meditation would all be good behaviors for most MS'ers to add. I always pick meditation & writing.

What a great idea. Instead of giving up something bad to eat,
I'll add something good to do!!

When in Rome....and in Rome, Ohio, we don't celebrate
Fat Tuesday. How about Ash Wednesday? Getting blessed
with ashes?

Today is Ash Wednesday, Sally. Fat Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday. Also known as Shrove Tuesday. It is the last day to pig out before Lent. In the neighborhood I was raised in, many churches have pancake suppers on that Tuesday night.

Pancakes- off my list of edible foods.
