Long time...
Retired NASA - I already told this story. Sold house. Get this. A day after signing the contract I end up in the hospital with an abdominal infection. 18 days (yes, 18!!!) in the hospital. Got out just in time to sign on the house sale, 40 pounds lighter and so weak I couldn't walk, etc. Couldn't contribute anything to the move. We got out of Texas and are in our house in Tennessee right now. I'm still living under a "don't lift more than 10 pounds" limit my wife strictly enforces (I had a couple surgeries last month). More later. The mountains are beautiful today. The birds are pretty (I find the yellow finches particularly attractive). Fish fry tonight on a pontoon boat on one of the lakes. Concert in the park at another lake Monday. Bar-b-q party a few days ago at, well, yet another lake. Haven't pulled out the clubs yet but our house is on the 11th tee at Druid Hills golf course - Fairfield Glade, TN. I'll try to stay in touch. Are my buddies still here? Tom |

Yikes, Tom! I'm glad you are feeling better. Those abdominal infections can be nasty as I found out in December. Infections and surgeries with MS is no fun and something I don't want to repeat.
I'm glad you are now in your new place. It sounds like you are enjoying it and doing a lot of lake and party hopping. I hope to see you posting more now that you are retired. |

Tom, thanks for posting...hope you are back to 100% real soon...
Tennessee is one of the new hot spots to move to-especially Nashville. Hope you enjoy each day...it's a bit too hot and humid for me, but when my son attended Vanderbilt (and stayed after graduation) it was lovely to visit.

Hey Tom, you're almost a neighbor. Not far from Ohio. '
Enjoy your well earned retirement.
