Wink

I think they look very good too, Starz....

You know, I saw a thread recently on WetCanvas that people make their own line drawings from photos. It is a free download program:

http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/show...24&postcount=1

This poster is a watercolor instructor and had this photo for her
class recently.

I believe other programs can do this too. But it seemed to me that it could be used as a coloring basis for those inclined to that use.

I am glad you are enjoying your new pencils... enjoyment is the key IMO.

So I looked in the program I have (JASC old graphics from Corel, Paint shop Pro) and I have a form of this manipulation in it. It is in "effects" >pencil
This is our Weezie on our dock in 2014.

Edit to add.... hubby suggested this program, as he follows a young artist in Belgium who has a blog and someone suggested this in the past. It is supposed to be very good, free and like Photoshop:

Wink nice Ebay sale: if anyone is interested here:

Prismacolor watercolor pencils at a good price...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Prismacolor-...item4aec773f85

These have a nice pigment concentration. Free shipping... 36 count. The price may stay low, you never know.

looks like a starting bid with a high end however...maybe a shill. Some of these early ones fade away and others lead to disappointment.

How funny it is, I've used photoshop for years and completely forgot about changing pictures to sketches or even coloring pages. Thanks for the reminder, now I won't be stuck with the random coloring pages off the net or wasting money on books, looking for things to paint.

Lightbulb

I was looking at some used watercolor tubes yesterday and found this seller... has lots of oil pastels, and wax crayons and some
watercolor pencils (Staedtler Ergosoft)...for really low low prices. The lowest I've ever seen, and they look pristine too. (the crayons appear to be wax type though-- I went to a translator to verify that).

His offers have 4 days left.

I've done a few new coloring pages.

Did this with fine tipped Sharpie markers.

and I love what it looks like when you flip it over to the bleed thru side of the page.

Printed out another copy of the same page, and did this with Crayola colored pencils. Just two colors. Red, and Blue...obviously I left part of it uncolored, since it would be a waste of using my white pencil to color in white on a white page.. I really liked this one. (my favorite colors to crochet with are red, white, and blue. So, that color preference kind of transfers over to my coloring hobby now too)
