Default Size 12!!!!!!

I never thought it would happen. I mean that literally. When I started on my diet almost 2 years ago I was hoping I would lose weight and of course losing clothes sizes goes along with that. But I can never remember being less than a 14. But I needed some capris and so we went to Kohl's since I had Kohl's cash and a 15% off total check. I started looking through the 14s and my daughter who is my fashion expert, although she loves more the grunge look, said that no I was going to try a 12. So I did and I bought about 4 pair. I could have bought more but that was enough. I would have liked to buy some shorter ones but I have these thunder things that just do not want to leave and dear daughter so tactfully says they look like tumors. Mother Nature has also decided that where I once was 5'6 1/4" that I would look better at 5'4 1/2". So many of the capris fit me like regular jeans do. But what would be short shorts fit pretty decent level except of course for the 'tumors'. So now I don't know what to wear over my swim suit next week when we go to this amusement park we take the whole family to every year. Last year the big thighs just matched the rest of my legs. But oh it was so sweet to buy those size 12!!!!! And I have about 30 pounds yet to go before I reach my goal weight.

That is wonderful What's your secret??

I would like to lose some weight too. I told my DH that when our son moves out next month and we are empty nesters that we will start watching what we eat and eat healthier.

About 7 years ago I joined weight watchers and lost about 40 pounds and never made it to goal before I quit. I have gained 25 of those pounds back

Congratulations on your accomplishment

lovecats, I am almost 65 and decided I was tired of my 4 B/P medicines, diabetes medicine and cholesterol medicine and being 233 pounds. I went on a 1300 calorie diabetic diet and because I am on Medicare got free teachnig and can have on free session a year in addition to the classes i had at the beginning. @ years later and 60 pounds gone. It has not been easy but so worth it. Carbohydrates is my enemy and they know how to make themselves visible in my life daily. So I am constantly battling that.
