Default Our winter vacation plans

The first of our travel plans for the winter have been made. We’ll be in Bonaire for a week in early December. I’m kind of jazzed for it. The last time we were there was about ten years ago. I’ll bet there’s much more to see and do now.

And there’ll be snorkeling. I remember the last time I snorkeled I wondered if I would ever go snorkeling again. The hotel is right by the water, and has water entry consisting of 7 steps with two handrails, one on each side. Now let's see if I can manage that without breaking my neck.

I think I can. I think I can. I think I caaaaaaan!

How could you leave all the wonderful Connecticut Snow for the Warm Caribbean?

Have Fun.

Marion - I was interested enough in this to look it up! It sounds like a great place to leave a Boston winter for.

Husband wants to know how long the flight is?

Marion I tried that while we were down in Panama City. I had had a bad experience several years ago when we went to one of the Disney resorts and tried snorkeling. I could get over my feat of having my head under water. So this vacation I didn't have a fear of that. I just couldn't get a good grip with my teeth on the mouth piece and kept on getting salt water in my mouth/ I am not a good simmer. I have an improvised swim that gets me from place A to B. But with not getting a good connection and the water was cold and we weren't in wet suits, just our suits. I just joined my husband on the boat. Not that that in itself wan't adventure enough, just getting back on the boat. Michelle said she would have pushed behind to get me there but I think it was less embarrassing with just my husband and myself. If I had drawn attention to myself it might have brought my son in law over. Charlie and I handled it OK. But what I saw was lovely, nothing like a wonderful coral reef, just clear water with a lot of fish. It felt like you could just reach down and catch a fish. Good luck

Ann, I think it is something like 5 1/2 hours from Atlanta.

Doydie, I'm a snorkeler from way back. In fact I really can swim better that I can walk. The only spooky part for me is getting in and out of the water.
