Partly why I spin around so much is aquaphobia . After drowning, I guess not really or it still is considered that, needing rescusitation after filling the lungs with water.

In any event, water really freaks me out, showers are easiest to get clean over a bath, but the freakiest of water experiences for me. Can't hear anything under the spray, water bouncing in all directions so we need to spin. You should see me washing dishes though, if I don't have enough bubbles, or leave the rinse water running to long I actually come close to passing out.

Yet I LOVE to swim, at least on the days I can conquer the phobia, otherwise it's standing like a ninny at the side of the pool staring down at the water till I'm dizzy and ill. Or screaming like a little kid because a wave touched my foot at the beach. Same beach where a day before I was swimming through the waves and even grabbing hold of an odd shark or two. (sand and nurse sharks nothing to worry about )

Yikes, Starz!!! How traumatic for you! I do admire your courage though as you have attempted to (and accomplished) getting in water again. Phobias created by traumatic events are tough to overcome.
