Frown Winter weather

Well winter is here. In a peroid of two days we got 10 inches of snow. The area we live in hardly ever gets that much snow at one time. It was in the 1980's since I occured. Lucky for this house we stocked on needs.

Has the weather improved? Hopefully you are all dug out by now.

So far we are dry here. Lots of rain last week but very sunny weekend. Regular cold winter so far.

This morning we had our first below zero temperature reading of the winter, at -1.3. It never got out of the single digits all day, and is supposed to be several degrees below tonight with wind chills as low as -25.

We haven't had any huge snowfalls, though my husband had to shovel/scrape two or three inches a few days in a row. I could happily stay inside for a month, starting right now. We're stocked up on the important things: canned food, flashlight batteries, chocolate.

Well we still have alot of snow standing around. There have been a lot of building with chashing down. A lot of them were popular shopping places. One was our large shopping mall at one place of it. Just hope this will be the last of snow this year. We are not use to it. The highest ie has made it to is 45, at night is going down to freezing.

Expecting a half inch of rain here in Iowa today. Such a mild winter, Yay! The rain will wash away a little of the ankle-deep snow on the ground. We will get our first taste of real winter this weekend, with temps in the negative single digits. I don't mind the cold and snow (my SO hates it!), but I don't want any ice.

WOw, we are going to get 1/4 inch of snow this weekend! I'm sure people will get real worried, I'll try to make a snow ball out of a tiny amount of snow.
