Default New adventures!

I am basically grounded, so now I have been assigned a visiting nurse and they bring the adventures to me!

One of my daughters was visiting from Florida the beginning of June, I sat at the dinning room table talking to her and some of my grandkids for 3-4 hours. A bad location for me, I am tall and most chairs seem to short for me, plus I don't have much muscle or padding left. Just from having my elbow resting on the table for that period of time caused it to swell!

Now it is late July and the swelling is still there, so the visiting nurse schedules a visiting x-ray! Dang! They can do that! Evidently no problems with the bone, a good thing? Now I get a visiting cat scan!

I would rather be fishing! LOL

I am at the point I want some supervision once in awhile. I am in a chair 24/7, bending over picking up what falls makes to squrt urine a little. I am self-toileting (and proud of it). Like I see in some movies, I want a quiet caring care-giver who gives care when needed but leaves me alone the rest of the time while they clean and tidy a little. (can you see I'm not terribly social?). This is tough. At needing a trained monkey to pick up level need right now. But in a minute everything could change. I know that.

LOL, I guess compared to some people I have it made kicker, my 28 year old son and his 29 year old step brother live with me, and my dog, man's land and not much phases any of us.

I didn't really know what to expect with the xray and cat scan at home, I was sort of expecting being wheeled out to a motor home parked in my drive for them. The xray machine was a tripod sort of thing wheeled into my dining area, and the cat scan was even easier, a laptop with little attachments carried in to my living room.

Nothing nasty to drink, no needles, just a little lube over the area to be viewed. Neither test took more than 15 minutes! LOL, less time than it takes to load me up into my van and deliver me for testing!

Green acres is the place foe me!

My 25 year old twins live on 2nd floor and one is a girl with women smarts!!* happy* happy

2 cats, 1 dog and my husband who loved me all those years so now I'm 61 in a chair still does. This is why I get tired! It's all or all are gone. I have successfully convinced them there is nothing wrong with me and they will help BUT I have to ask.

There are no perfect worlds. It's always something.* happy

It's OK I guess, but I miss my youth, legs, and independence.

Ladies, gentlemen, replace this line " Now I get a visiting cat scan! " with ultrasound, my error!
