Did I kill this thread back in June?

We've got to think up some good thoughts to post here. Have some fun. I'm having such a hard time lately with word recall.

Well, all I can think of right now are funny things my Dad used to say. He was so funny sometimes and I miss his quirky sense of humor.

We had an ultra sensitive smoke detector at the house I grew up in. It used to go off all the time. Whenever Dad was home and we'd all be gathering for dinner it seemed to go off almost on que. And Dad would yell out "dinner's ready!" as soon as he heard the alarm. Mom would always act like she didn't like it but we all knew she would smile to herself when she thought nobody was looking.

Another funny "Dad" memory.

Mom was very conservative and wearing long shorts in the summer was about as far as she'd go to stay cool in hot weather.

One year we went to Myrtle Beach and everyone had bathing suits on. Mom came out of the bathroom with some type of bathing suit she had purchased just for the trip. I still don't know where on earth she found it but as soon as Dad saw it he said "Mom's bathing suit's got a hole in the knee". I had to think about it for a
minute but then I got it. Dad......always the comic.

Most of the world’s problems could be solved if only people would use cruise control. Besides, a worm doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

I'm reviving this thread, partly so that people who visit here aren't always seeing a thread saying there's nobody here. There are people here.
