If I went neeekid, I'd be the only one on the plane. Me thinks even the pilot would bail.
It would be easy to get through security! LOL! Make sure you pack plenty of snacks DM! Bribes work well for the crew so they will stay on the plane with you! LOL!

No goosing the pilots tho...Gee, I do remember a story about a Southwest cockpit crew flying naked...(it's true, honest - I know one of them!)

Yeah Paul, just one nap yesterday, but it was 3 hours long! Then I got up, went to the pharmacy, got some drugs, and came home and went back to bed! I think I slept about 16 hours yesterday!

Today I have a couple of "must do things." One being a legislative reception this afternoon. AMN/DM/Taffy/SallyC will be proud of me...another chance to wear my pretty red pendleton jacket from the "let's dress FG" thread...

Thumbs Up Good News!

The ENT specialist's office called this morning and after some cajoling (ha ha ha!) I have an appt with the doc tomorrow morning! They are going to "work me into the clinic" schedule tomorrow if I can be there at 8:30 with all the paperwork filled out.

I told her I am a very compliant patient and will do anything she wants so I can get in to see the doc...fax me the paperwork and I will fill it out and if she needs anything else just let me know and I will get it!

She asked me a bunch of questions and sort of implied that my PCP was not taking care of me. I told her that I have seen them 3 times in the last month and that they have done as much as they can and they are the ones who referred me to this doc...(thinking to myself she is the one who dropped the ball by not calling me 3 days ago to make an appt! - but I kept my mouth shut!)

So, paperwork faxed to me and I am now filling it out and will be there bright and early tomorrow morning....gravelely voice and all!

Chronic Sinus Disease, sinus infection and a deviated septum....

Cherie, I've had a sinus infection since Thanksgiving. After 20 days of antibiotics, no relief! The CT scan I had showed all the above...so a referral to an ENT specialist was in order!

Gotcha.

Sinus problems plagued me too for many years, and the first signs of MS were actually blown off as sinus problems. I have had two operations, and the last one was my saving grace.

I had blocked sinus passages from a nose-break that I never knew I got. That was the first operation. The second operation came after two straight years of sinus infections (many years of problems though). I was on antibiotics every other month actually.

I'll just tell you my story, in case you run into the same thing . . .

When I went in to see the ENT, he could find nothing obvious that was wrong. I would choke, I had constant infections, and was sick all the time. He did all kinds of tests, I was sent to an allergist (which I had many allergies), and then back to him.

It was the choking aspect that finally got me the dx. After three appointments, he spotted something dangling in the back of my throat. Turned out to be a polyp, but he couldn't tell where it orginated from. He guessed my cheek sinus passages, and booked me for a quick 20 min "snip" surgery. Several hours later, it turns out the story was that my sinus passages were "riddled" with these polyps, and the infection was so deeply entrenched, the antibiotics couldn't possibly clear it up. (Most sinus infections are hard to treat, but this added to the problem significantly.)

I don't know if testing procedures are easier for this condition, but I would ask if I were you. If it wasn't for that dangling one, I'd still be sick as a dog.

Good luck,

Cherie

I've had sinus infections for most of my life. I had a tonsillectomy in 1974 - that was a nightmare! An in-and-out day surgery ended up as a 3-day stay in the hospital! Docs don't like it when you don't wake up from the anesthesia...

Anyway, I have been allergy tested 3 times. The CT scan I had last week was my 3rd and this was the first time I've been told I have a deviated septum .... I 've not had any trauma that I am aware of...well maybe when I was a sophomore in high school but am surprised it's never been caught before...anyway...whatever!

I work in the wrong industry to have seasonal allergies, but I take medication and continue to do fine and deal with it. The antibiotics have always worked before so never even gave it a second thought.

However, I've never had any problems this time of year. This is different this time. Not going away. And it's just feels different. Nothing is showing up on the MRIs nor the CT scan. No polyps.

I've been told in the past that I need that scaping...but have declined b/c I know that once you have it, it will need to be done again and again. Not volunteering for any surgery that I don't NEED. I am not a good patient.

This guy is a friend and a good ENT surgeon. He won't lead me astray. I've not seen him professionally, only socially. That's why I wanted to get in to see him...I've not been pleased with the doc I have seen in the past.

So, we shall see what happens tomorrow. He's got all my records and he loves a good challenge - that would be me!

Glad to hear that you are going to ent. Praying they will give you an
answer to your problems.

Keep us informed of their findings. Rest now, take the meds to help
you have a good nights sleep.

I am so ready to see this doc in the morning! I've got all the paperwork filled out. I even did a new spread sheet with all my meds! I am a compliant patient! His nurse is not going to have anything to complain about!!! LOL!
