Good morning everyone,
I HAD to share this with you. One of my closest friends growing up lived in the flat beneath ours. She was just a year older than I, and married quite young. Alyssa has 3 boys ranging in age from 4-11. The 11 year old was just a toodler when I left, and has always been a small fellow for his age. He's been teased a lot about his stature and weight, and was quite unhappy for the longest time. He was always one of the cutest guys I've ever met despite all of the ridiculing he put up with. In addition to being small, his teeth have been very slow to fall out. They recently started falling out, and it appears they are all falling out at once. Marcus seems quite proud of his "accomplishment", and finally feels like he fits in with the other boys his age. I was reading my emails this morning, and lo and behold, his Mum sent me the following recent picture of Marcus. According to his parents, he's quite a cad. This picture put the biggest grin on my face this mornng, so I thought it might bring a big grin to yours as well. MEET MARCUS....albeit toothless! Wishing you all a weekend filled with smiles, Chris

He looks as if he just won a gold medal in the "tooth loss" relay! Poor kid, I hope he realises that this should be the last time he loses his teeth.

You are quite welcome. As small as he is in stature, he makes up for it with his hysterical sense of humour!

Chris,
My son was always very small, very short and very thin - he was teased horribly - the whole bit.... He came home from school one day and asked me "Mom - what is a midget ?" Oohhhhhh I could barely hold it together - don't even remember what I told him to play it down. I do remember going to my bedroom later, closing the door to be alone and crying my eyes out. Also, when my 2 children were very small - people thought I had twins but my son was nearly 3 years older than my daughter and for a while my daughter was taller than my son as they grew up. He is now 29 years old and 5'8" or 5'9" tall (not sure exactly height) but he is a good sized man and bulky (not fat) but a very strongly built - sturdy man. Funny thing - both my son and daughter are the same height to this day and - "I" am the munchkin !!! As a child - we were just hoping he would make it to be 5' 2" tall (and that is my height and I am a short female !!! The pediatrician was charting his growth and that was what he was targeted to reach. During his early teenaged years - he shot straight up !!! So you just never know....
