Default Good Thoughts Please....Worried.

This morning at about 8:00, my phone rang. I was not near the phone and by the time I got there, it stopped ringing. Noone but my DD or a wrong number would have called me at that hour....I usually don't awaken until 11 AM.

I immediately called DD and the phone just rang and rang...no answer, not even an answer machine. I then tried her Cell phone...turned off, just taking messages (very unusual) so, I called hr DH's cell....same thing.. I even called his Mother and she hadn't heard from them.

I have left messages but, noone has called. I'm afraid to call the hospitals, but I may have to. The Kids would be coming home from school about now, if they ever got there in the first place. I'll try again to see if they answer.

DD also has MS and has been in remission for over 3 years, now, but that is what came to my mind....that she's having an attack and went to the hospital. The call this morning might have been for me to watch the little ones.. If this is what happened, then they may just be too busy to call. I pray to God, it isn't anything worse.

Should I do anything else or just wait?

Thanks Friends for being here.

Calm yourself, Sal. First, check the area for power outages. Then check their cell network for outages. Weather can wreak havoc on both.

Next, Say another prayer and remember that there is nothing you can change in your own power. Keep us posted, my friend.

Sal, the hospitals will not disclose any information to you, so please don't make yourself nuts over trying.

I got info on my bil when he was in the hospital - by email even.
I was just trying to find which one he was in - i didn't get any other info though.

We didn't even know for sure which hospital he was in at the beginning {different state}.
I sent emails from each hospitals website to the ones in his city.

They just checked for his name and replied to me that he wasn't there and finally the one where he was told me so.

So if you think it could be a possibility you can call and ask if she is admitted or in ER.

How old are the kids?
Do they have a way into the house? spare key, neighbors etc.

I know my imagination gets carried away a lot too- but most times things turn out to be fine.

Hi Cindy, Thanks And I did call the hospitals and she has not been admitted, so that's good, I think. She is not at work.

I did try to find out if her phone was out, but I don't know who to call, since she is on a package deal with Road runner Cable. Her cells are sprint...

I have been trying to stay calm, but, it's hard, at this point. I am just so worried and I don't know what to do. I HATE being in this helpless situation. I HATE MS, DAMIT!!!

I totally understand! When my DD dose not answer, I always assume the worst!

Maybe the battery is dead? Maybe she left it at home? If somthing happened outside the home, surely she has a licence that would help connect the family that the ER would see.....

Prayers that all is well!!

I have RR too. You can call them and they'll let you know if there are service problems with her phone number. We've had a lot of out's with this weather. Usually it's fixed pretty quick if we got less than a couple inches of snow. But you get ice it could be a while.

Hope you hear from the dd soon!
