Default What is everyone doing for the "STUPIDBOWL"?

No offense to you American Football lovers, it's just not my cup of tea. Anyway, every year we are invited to a party for the Superbowl. The women usually end up sitting in the kitchen talking and drinking wine, and waiting on the 1/2 time show, while the men are parked in front of the Tellie screaming, and going wild.

This year, one of our neighbours has invited almost the entire neighbourhood over to watch on one of those HUGE Plasma TV's. I really am not in the mood to go. I need to go to the grocery, and get some things done around the house, and I figured this would be a great time to do it. I made a carmelized Brie, and may send it with Michael, and I will probably show up for a 1/2 hour or so, but this year I decided there was no need to go to something that I abhor!

What is everyone else doing?

I will be at work, where I will use the SuperBowl as an excuse to not work, instead watching the game and eating whatever is left over from the previous shift, who will also be using it as an excuse for not working.

I may do a LITTLE work, but I will be watching the Patriots win the game!!

( I am a New Englander, and it's a sin not to watch if any of our teams are in the playoffs!! The Patriots will win and have a perfect season!!)

Nothing, nada. I am packing for our trip next week. Jim will have it on in the background while we work. Our team isn't in the game so not important. lol

LOL, I have always recorded it so I could skip to watch the commercials, but now they're available online, so I'm off the hook!

I might just take me a nap.

There is a party I am supposed to attend, but, nah.

The commercials are online this year? What is the link to them? They are the best part of the whole thing as far as I am concerned!

Sorry I am the non-traditional women I love football. Craig's childhood friend invites us every year to his home. This friend is in his fifth year of ALS and so every year we wonder if this year will be his last year...he has endured two years longer than he was supposed to.

Hopefully the weather won't ruin the day...we are in the middle of a snow storm where the snow is blowing side ways. We will have to be trekking through but it will be worth it.
