That's great, Brain! My daffodils are coming up and it made me so happy to see that. I am thinking warm thoughts. Plus, I did a bad thing and stumbled into the Home Depot seed area (totally by accident) and ended up getting seed starter pots and lots of seeds. Oh my, first year in a new house and I'm so antsy to plant things and see how they do. I got the house in June last year and put in a couple of tomato plants and ended up getting a few. This year will be better--they had a late start last year.

Enjoy!

Spring, yes please! It's about 9 here with windchills I don't want to talk about. Then, I came home to find a furnace that isn't functioning properly - I prefer to keep the heat above 63 degrees! So, bring on the spring.

Ick! You'd hate my place at night. I turn the furnace down to 60 every night. Love my setback thermostat! But 63 or less when you're going to be up and about??

Hope the furnace is a cheap fix.

I don't want Spring to come at ALL !!

that'll mean it's closer to summer mugginess and endless marinating soggy heat...

it's WINTER in the tropics that I love the best...

it's 81 degrees today in da jungle, comfy and cool on my shaded screened porch, with a fan spinning lazily overhead.

No, I keep the furnace low at night (DH won't let me go lower than 62, though). It's fine when I'm under the down comforter, but not when I'm trying to convince 2 boys to do their homework.

I suspect that we are out of oil, but DH doesn't believe me. He is supposed to monitor that (that is one of "his" jobs) and said we had plenty. We usually order when it gets down to 1/4 of a tank. When I looked at the gauge, it looked like it was on "E" to me. I am guessing he hasn't really checked in awhile, but maybe can't admit it. I ordered oil (not cheap fix - 200 gallons @ $2.89 per gallon), but no one can come tonight. So, I'm out of luck until tomorrow.

BTW, I'm thinking about moving to Belize now. Got any extra room CayoKay? It'll just be me, I will leave all the people with Y chromosomes to keep each other company.

You're thinking like me, Holly. We could build a tree house, don't you think? Gotta make the ceilings high in case Gazelle comes to visit.

there's plenty of room... come on down!

just don't forget the Skin So Soft, the fly swatters, the heavy boots, and rain gear.

the skies just unleashed some "freight-train-rain"

it's pounding the zinc roof so hard conversations cannot be held...

every area has some disadvantage, and summer here can be he!!

That doesn't sound so bad right now (read my rant to see why). Have you ever been in the room with an 8 year old and 11 year old boy that want to hurt each other. No hard conversations taking place here either.

Brain - we will definitely have to work on those high ceilings for Gazelle. I'm thinking no on a Zinc roof, just got some info that those are noisy.
