Default Need help...really dumb...off topic question

So I have to do a load of laundry. I am getting picked up tonight to go out to my parents. I have no decent clean clothes left and I am out of detergent. Question...I don't have much energy to go the store and get more and fight the crowds and then do the laundry too. Can anyone let me know if there's something else I can wash my clothes with in the washer? Can I just put them in there with liquid fabric softener? I know this might be a dumb question...but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
