I'm jealous of you all. Dang clouds!!! Although, in other parts of town people were able to see it clearly.

I now have to wait a couple of years to see the next one.

Char was right, beautiful view here, crystal clear and freezing cold, I was at work and brought my binoculars.

The "star" to the left as you looked up was Saturn. The star to the right was Regulus. I was checking out other stuff too. I can still see the comet Holmes, although it was very faint in the southwestern sky, easier to see as the moon darkened, past the Pleiades and off to the left of them. Mars has dimmed a LOT since this summer, but a good view of the "Red Triangle" ( Mars, Betelgeuse and Aldebaran) as the eclipse began.

My view of the moon was very red, but at the beginning, the penumbra had a blue shadowline moving ahead of it and THAT was cool!

Truly one of the eclipses where I wished I had a good 35 MM camera, tripod and a lens that took good closeups with me!!

I sent you a PM weegot5kiz, but no we didn't get it at the same time as you did. We got it in November, and yes we had a clear night, and yes it was fantastic.

Another fabulous show put on by Mother Nature.
