Default Out of the Blue

The phone was ringing at 5AM this morning....you know those calls are never good. DH has a friend, early thirties (Jason), who looks up to him. They have a special bond going back a few years now.

It was Jason on the phone. His Mother and Father, both in their fifties have been on a health kick recently and they both joined a health club to stay in shape. His father went last night for the first time, and while working out, apparently he had an anyurism in the brain and it popped....causing him to also have a heart attack. The doctors hands were tied because the anyurism was bleeding out, and the meds to make the blood thin could not be used to help his heart. They were in a catch 22.

They had to pull the plug because he was brain dead...he died

Please pray for our friend Jason and his grieving mother whom he was with all night. He is moving in today to begin to care for her, along with his little daughter whom he is a single parent too.

Just feeling very shocked and sad for this young friend of ours....it is so sad! Breaks my heart to because this young man moved in with another dear friend 4 years ago when THAT friend's son died in a motorcycle accident. Jason took the 'place' of the dead son in every way, and now his own father is gone. Its just tragidy after tragidy.....very sad....He is a blessing to many in this world, a good 'son'.....

A sudden death like this involving one's parent is always devastating to say the least. I hope you and your husband are in a position to give Jason and his Mom help and support through this time.

Jason and his Mom will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm in shock, what a tragedy. I'm sending prayers and good thoughts out to Jason, his mom and all. A big hug too.

What a terrible tragedy - I'm so sorry. I'm glad, though, that Jason felt he could call your DH at any time. That's what friends are for.

This just shows us that none of us are promised tomorrow.

Your friends are in my thoughts and prayers.
