Default Rodeo!

The first trail riders rode into town this afternoon. They're camping at NASA's Johnson Space Center tonight (translated: there's horse turds on the streets at work). This is pretty surrealistic. Covered wagons and horses and buggies riding down Houston's streets. Imagine a 15 lane wide highway and horses and wagons and such hogging three of the lanes... Very real.

Bar-b-q is Friday/Saturday. Rodeo parade is I think Saturday (I always miss it - beer related). Rodeo starts I think Monday.

Guess what the real reason I postponed my surgery?????

I wish I could see it too.

I loove watching the bull riders. I don't know why they do that, but it's fun to watch.

Jake likes watching it too. Gave him the bright idea he could ride the dog though. Sophie did not appreciate that, I tell you what.

Aw man.... I wish I was there again! Dang..... I enjoyed watching the calf roping and the cutting horses--especially the cutting horses. Missed the BBQ, however. Instead, I met some people at a restaurant and ate good food, laughed my butt off, and had a beer.

ENJOY!! I'm SOOoooooo jealous. (I'd be more jealous if Tim McGraw was going to be there. I saw Reba last time and knew none of her music!)

OMG! What a hoot! They must have headed your way after they were done here on Sunday. Boy they got there fast in those covered wagons. LOL.

It is a big deal here. Kids got off of school for 2 days for the parade and to "attend" the rodeo. LOL.

Some friends went to the rodeo and really enjoyed it.

Glad the space center is being so accommodating. That's pretty cool.

Have fun!

I can't wait! It's so much fun! We are planning on watching the parade Saturday then we'll be there Thursday for the Alan Jackson concert, & we'll probably go back again before it's over.
