Default So What do you want to accomplish this summer?

Hey, just thought I'd start us thinking beyond the snow and cold...

My DH and I are going to build a pond out in the backyard to follow the patio we had installed last fall...complete with fish...I love watching fish swim...now I'll have an excuse for not getting the house clean!!

I hadn't even thought that far! For us it is so HOT here that I LOVE the spring and it is here!

This spring I want to do some mosaics and finish getting our garage cleaned out!

Do more gardening than I did last year.

I also want to get back to my gardening and take more walks this year.

I have a list of things I want to do while I still can like para-sailing and Bungee Jumping, but don't know if we'll get to that this year or not. Yep, I'm a nut.

What a great idea, DebbieD, I have been doing the same thing. I have some woodworking projects to do, I have three big, oak burls that I plan to work into boxes. I also have some smaller projects to do out there.

My other big plan is to make a trip up the northeast coast (God & MS willing). Here's hoping for a milder, less humid and cooler summer this year!

Probably very little. I love to garden, but really not able to get down in the dirt anymore.. I'm looking forward to spring, though and it's been a long time coming.

It was DDH's favorite season and I've been missing him so much that I just wanted it to pass...Ya know?.....but this year, I think I'll get out and enjoy it as much as possible. I hope it's a long one and the Summer short....Summers are hell here.

I made my own bio filters for my ponds and helped my sis make one for hers.
They are much better than the general filters that are in the stores.

here's a pic of one of my pond set ups, the filtering material is in the whiskey barrel-

Ohh I had to go look at my picture and I'm thinking a monkey??
LOL
That statue is a squirrel - one of those sprinkler critters - I never have used it as a sprinkler though.
It is hard to tell what it is from the distance.

Great thread!

Lets see, I have a couple of wedding to attend but other than that I want to go visit my aunt back home that has had breast cancer for 9 years and is not doing well.

Go to the opening game of the UM Football season to cheer on our new coach.

And relax!
