Default Chantix Refunds

I bought Chantix in June to try to stop smoking. I put it in the cabinet until I decided on a start day. I started hearing about bad side effects. The news reports started saying the FDA was requiring Chantix to update warnings on additional side effects.

I email Pfizer asking for a refund since so many of the side effects are ones I already have with MS and am treating them with meds. The one rare effect listed is it can cause MS. I can't imagine that it would be very safe for those of us who already have MS.

They sent an email back with an 800# to call. The rep. I spoke with said all I needed to do was to send the pharmacy receipt and a letter requesting a refund. She said dispose of the Chantix and don't send it back. I told her I purchased it in June but she said that was no problem. They would send my refund in 4 to 6 weeks.

I just thought I pass this info along to anyone who has paid for Chantix and can't take it or had bad side effects and wants a refund.

Sounds good Becky.

The Australian Gvt has been a bit reserved about allowing Chantrix.

Please let us know if you actually get the refund or not (and I hope you do). I'm sure there are lots of others who will be interested.

I will be sure and let you know when I get the refund. I mailed the request to them today. The rep. really didn't ask any questions so I think they are having enough bad press that they are refunding without any hassle.

I have the 800# and address if anyone wants to PM me.

I only took the stuff for the first week. It made me feel awful and I'm not surprised it's been connected somehow. I twitched like nobody's business and had bad dreams. Course the smoking's bad too I'll just have to find another way to quit I guess.

Thanks Becky! The latest I have heard is suicide while on Chantex. This is crazy. I am weening...no harm in that process.

Gee, I wonder if they would refund me for the few pills I have left.

Wonder if they would refund me for the $84 PCP visit. The $400 I had to spend at a psychiatrist and the $300 I had to pay for a Seroquel script, when I went bezerk.

That on top of the $240 I paid for the Chantix for 2 months.

I totally flipped out when getting off the chantix.

Pretty sad to spend clost to $1000 and I'm back to smoking due to the flip out getting off it.

I caught the end of a report on CNN about Chantix and suicide and psychotic behavior. It seems like more and more is coming out about this drug. I would not be surprised if they pull it off the market soon. That is scary stuff.

greenjeans,

Give Pfizer a call and get your money back if you have taken Chantix. I will be happy to give you the number and address if you PM me. We should not have to worry about what a prescription drug is going to do to our MS.

It is ridiculous that these companies put these harmful drugs out and then after millions of people have taken them, they pull them off the shelves.

I paid a $52.00 co pay through Medicare D and I want my money back. I know a lot of people have paid a lot more than that and should request a refund. They don't even want the pills shipped back to them, they advise how to properly dispose of them and want a letter requesting a refund. Pretty simple so they must be getting lots of refund requests.

I feel like someone in those bingo balls....60 balls flying all around, and then out pops a number. So many things could be my problem, but there is one fact I'm sure of. I took chantix and while on it, I went numb. what I'm not sure of is if it was the Chantix that did it.

I know I have other stress related things, but until someone puts a name to it, I have not a clue. I think I paid $50 for my co-pay too. Hey, it'll pay for a few days worth of food I'm already a complaintent with chantix, I wrote them back in November. They didn't offer a refund, just wanted my doctor to sign some form, of which I didn't do

Please send me the 800#...thanks!
