Default Olhipie went skiing!!

Earlier this week we got a phone call from a place called Common Ground asking me if Craig would like to go skiing.

Well, if you look at the picture below you will see that the answer was yes!

We met this group at Snow Basin, which is a little over and hour from our home. What a beautiful day...yes we are both sunburned.

What a great day!! He told the guys, “his ski buddies”, that this was the best day he has ever had since getting MS.

I’ll try to post another picture with him going down the hill.

Isn’t he just the cutest ski dude you ever have seen?

oh man, oh man, oh MAN!

last time I went skiing was 1991.

got carried off the slopes on a stretcher (vertigo-induced mishap)

I figured I would NEVER get to do it again!

I used to take my kids skiing for a week at Badger Pass, in Yosemite, every year.

and now, my SON's a children's ski instructor near Lake Tahoe.

gotta ask him about this!!!

'cause I've never seen anything LIKE that lil gizmo the Ol' Hippie's sittin' pretty in.

did he really go downhill?

or was it mostly cross-country?

oh man, oh man, OH MAN!

tell him I'm positively GREEN with envy!

Yes, he went down hill. He went down two times without the ski pole...very small pole with tiny ski's on them. Then he went down at least eight times with the poles. I will post more pictures soon!!

These guys who worked with him, they took him up the lift to another lift to the very top and I didnt see them for two hours...

Aww, how cool is that.

I've been skiing before, a LONG time ago. I loved it. I so hope I can go just one more time and feel that wind in my face as I go down the hill.
