Default Got Snow?

We got it here, lots of it. We're up above tree line at 9,100 feet, and we get between 300-400 inches a year. This winter is definitely a 400-incher!

It's piled so high, it's above my head in our front yard. We have just a tiny path to walk to the car, and since I can't walk in a straight line, DH has to hold on to me and pull me through!

I'm from Atlanta, and am just getting used to this---but I'm a snow bunny at heart, and I absolutely love it. Not sure now how much longer I can deal with it, though---a few years down the line, DH and I might retire to Cozumel or Puerto Vallarta!!!!

We're getting a blizzard every weekend, so I'm sure it's on its way back--but that's fine, because we need the water here in Colorado. Heard you guys back East were really getting hit. How's the weather where you are?

No New snow, but I'm still up to my **** in the old snow. It hasn't warmed up enough to melt, but the Sun is out today, so there's hope.

Sheesh, Keely, didn't anybody tell you that it snows all the time in Colorado?? Just to make you feel better, it snowed in Georgia this year and Chris has the pictures to prove it.

Have hubby pull you through on a sled..LOL..

When did you move from Atlanta? We're just starting our second year living here. It's snowed twice here (not enough to cause any problems-but it was pretty) this year. It's been in the 70's the past week, but I've been home sick. I'm sure CO. is lovely.

More than enough snow here, thanks for asking...

It's a race between the snowbanks and the woodpile right now, which will disappear first...sigh.

Yeah, Sally C, I knew Colorado was like this---that's why we came here! I had been living as a performer on cruise ships for three years (not as much fun as it sounds), and I wanted some mountains and some real weather!!!! We don't ski or snowboard or any of that stuff, we just like the snow!

Hi Chris--I left Atlanta in 2002 to go on a three year tour on the ships, then came to Colorado in mid-2005. I chose to come here because all my life I've wanted to live in the Rockies and experience some snow---and I got my wish!

BTW, Cayo Kay, I've been to Belize!!!!! We used to go there on one of our cruise ships, when we would do special 7-day cruises. I just had time to walk around near the port area before I had to get back and play the piano for something or other. Love your weather, it's nice and warm!

Sally C., I'm supposed to do a sled dog story in the next month, where they're gonna put me on one of those things! We're holding off until I feel a bit better---but I'm looking forward to it! Actually, people pass by our house on skis all the time, and sometimes they're pulled by dogs!

To be honest, it IS a lot warmer today, with a bright Colorado sun--but still surrounded by 8 feet of snow in some areas (melting as we speak). I have no doubt we'll get more this weekend. The water shortage is so dire here, we need it, so we tend to cheer for each blizzard!

winter is slowly losing its grip here, the juncos have left, a few days ago I got the pleasure to watch roughly 400 sandhill cranes lift offf from a forest area where there is a big field that was filled with the sandhills, awsome is an understatement, and did i think to use my cell phone for even one pic, nope cause i am a maroon

woke to a couple robins singing today and its 34 outside and it feels so warm, ok I have debated this my whole life, when its 34 degrees and it feels warm, this is not a good thing is it?

as soon as I hear a red wing black bird then the deal is done and spring will have sprung
