This is a heartbreaking story and it is made worse by the fact that they could easily be innocent.

The 4 year old just arrived here two months ago. If any of you have been following other international adoptions, it takes many more months than that to undo the damage done by the orphanages! The child abuse charge is from the 4 year old being malnourished...which is simply wrong. They have only had him for 2 months. There is NO doubt that they are not guilty of not feeding this child.

The 14 month old they only had for 2 weeks. That injury could have easily been from before they had him.

I simply can't believe this. This police department has a history of taking children with disabilities away for unfounded accusations. But once you lose your children it's almost impossible to get them back.

I suppose this family could be guilty...but when you look at the facts after knowing children with Down syndrome...it seems highly unlikely. You just don't go to the trouble and expense to adopt to do this to a child!

Please if anyone has any idea of what can be done to help this family... let's come up with them here. You can leave comments on the article as well. For those who may be able to shed some light. Hopefully if there is enough comments the news station will look into it further. If you feel also that they are likely innocent then please post this in your blogs, websites, anywhere that it might get attention.

This is simply heartbreaking.
