I was not warned of the weather here, but we just had a tornado hit the downtown Atlanta area. We live a little North of the downtown area. But apparently, there were several big things happening in downtown Atlanta this evening. There was a college basketball tourney, and a huge Dental convention. One would expect this type of weather to be more typical of FLA., and I never expected it to be like this in GA. I think we've taken cover more times in the last year for tornados here than we did the entire time we lived in FLA.

Our electricity was just restored, so we had no clue as to what was happening. At one point, we had hail the size of golfballs, and it was so loud, I thought all of the windows were going to break. You can hear ambulances all around, and there have been at least 9 severe casualties. It is something like this that puts things into perspective. Here is the link:
