How are things this morning, Kay? I hope the baby is improving - it's just so darn scary when it's a baby that young. I just hate it that someone that small and innocent has to suffer - I just want to take all the pain on myself and I know you do, too. Please keep us posted on his progress - and keep yourself and Jake safe and dry. The storms are headed our way and should be here by this afternoon:(

I think Jake's issue was his his ear not his head. There is a big difference between an earache and the headache you get from meningitis. Even though he is 2 he will give you the clues you need if it is the headahce you are looking for.

I so pray that things get better for you. God bless you for being such a support system for this family. It sounds like they need you.

The sun is out and it's no longer raining. Hopefully it won't take long for it to get out of Missouri too.

I hate that the baby is so sick. It's just awful.

One thing you could keep an eye on is if he can touch his chin to his chest. With menigitis, it hurts to do that.

Made a call to Jess today and they got the results of the first urine culture....had bacteria in it for sure. The other urine culture and 2nd LP and the blood work are due for report this evening....
awaiting news.
As for Jake he is doing fine...he is such a bal of energy....Aunt Kay is really getting whipped.....lol...lol...now I know why God intended me to have my kids while I was YOUNG!

Leslie was home today....school was closed due to flooding roads. (THANK GOD)
