Wow What a day..
The job is a breeze....and I got it down pat already......
My boss says I am a God send...and she cant believe how quick I catch on......

The place is so beautiful...I took some pics to show you guys but its kinda dark in there ....hope you can get the just of it.....
Soft lighting and peacful music, sented candles....aaaahhhhh what better place could a girl work lol.....

If you can see that window in the far right.......well its not real.....I mean the frame is a real one w/o the glass....but the scene behind it is all painted....

I didnt get good pics of the floors either....all the rugs are painted on the concret.....MY BOSS DID IT....She is in her late 60's....she is amazing....and man can that girl cook!!!!!!

This is the view from the front door...on the back left side it leads to a much decked out ladies powder room.....and on the wall directly in front there is a pianio.......
Its a tiny place but she did over 500 bucks in the 4 hours I was there today....People come flooding in at 11:00.....

I want to go there for a cup of tea and sandwich. Do they allow blue jeans and tenners?

I ment to take one of the entry way and the kitchen and powder room...but I was ready to get going home......

I LOVE MY NEW JOB................

Yup ..........its come as ya are. Had a Husband/wife in today in thier shorts. They had been out for a jog on the track and came by for a late lunch......

The menu is awesome.

Roasted potato soup with a sprinkle of shredded cheese, bacon crumbles, and scallions on top.
There is an AMAZING chicken salad on crossent. It had pinapples, walnuts and purple grapes in it....its unbelievable how the crunch and sweet and tart just set off the whole chicken salad.
Paninies, pasta salads, green salads w/ the works on top. a mandrine salad that is to die for.....and of course desserts. This week it is cappichino cake and cho eclair.....this woman makes it all from scratch.....

She asked me if I wanted to help her with her new summer menu and come up with some recipies and may do the backing of the desserts......I was thrilled....I LOVE BAKING SWEETS LOL.....

I'm proud of you girl. I'm also glad you like it.

One question though.
With you painting for your bosses mom and doing your basket. Then working in the tea room. When exactly are you gonna have time for quilting classes with the grandmother? lol

I love that place...You are soooo lucky and I am soooo jealous... The glass tops over the lacy tablecloth is a smart, yet elegant touch.

Love the Apron....Did your boss like it? You may have a job making aprons, too.

Well Dot..........for now the classes are only on the 2nd Thursday of he month...but in the summer it will be every other thur....its from 8-10 am I start the tea room at 11:00 works out beautifully.....Plus my boss would be glad to let me come in late of I had too..cuz.SHES AN AVID QUILTER ALSO...........shes so excited for me that I am doing this....
Her husband is a minister and they invited me to church....but she actually lives about hour and half from me.....(near Jonesboro).
She stayes in a lil apartment here in Doniphan through the week....isnt that something? at her age....al the driving and keping up 2 houses and a business.....

I just love her to peices!!!! Her daughter who runs he raft mall is going on a cruise for a week tomorrow.............lucky dog!!!!
