Smile Thank You I Say

I always feel so compelled to say something, either of thanks or of appreciation. Usually after I have been gone for a bit of time and come back, and am welcome so nicely. It's a warm feeling, thank you, all. I have noticed that this isnt just a place for me to escape, but it is becoming a place for answers. As Deb and I pondered an issue regarding my headaches and the ms, she honestly said she had no idea. i be better off going online and asking, I think it hurt her feelings in one respect, but it also gave us both another one of those wake up calls, as much as i want her to be the one with all my solutions, which is not in any way fair to her and did not realize it, but see it now. and as much as she wants to be that, she cant be, along with being mom, worker, wife, friends, etc...

I just wanted to say in my own way
I look forward to coming here every day.
My anticipation builds as I slowly build friendships anew
and get in heated debates and watch threads go askew

knowing one bound that holds us all together is one we never wanted
now we lived with it deal with it, some of us feel we are haunted
yet with a drop of a hat we are ready to hold out a helping hand
to help others strive forward and on their feet so they shall land

their is something here that goes beyond a common kindness
if you contemplate it too much you could go mindless
there is compassion, and concern and dare i say it love here too
you all and yes I say yall as a second family help cure the blues

so you friends who are becoming so important to me each day
for your support kindness and friendship thank you I say

thanks moose miss ya too 49

yeah momma its weird cause we are bound with one common factor a very harsh factor, its just good to know, that besides my loving family who care deeply for me and are concerned, did not want anyone in anyway to get the wrong idea. its nice to be able to come to my private hobbit hole and get away with folks who know what I mean when i say i was chasing MS BUGS last night or how frustrated i am i dropped the same spoon 9 times today, because as much as they love me and care, they have no idea what i mean or how i feel, just using loose examples.... of course we all dont feel the same and or react the same so some of us dont even relate, but that wonderful ms bound allows us to step over that connect

peace

ps :: that scares me i did spell check and it found no mistakes either my spell check is broke or whoa

Thanks, Frank, and right back atcha! It is fun to wonder, if we met each other in different circumstances, whether we would give one another the time of day.

Personally, I talk to strangers anyway.

Not outgoing here - not even in restrooms - maybe in a grocery line that says 10 items and the person in front of me has 20 - then I manage to be outgoing -

I agree with Frank - this is a place where people understand - we've all been there - done that - and that is a comfort - and it's more liberating then going to a support group - we don't really have to know each other only that we have a connection through MS - and there are questions that only those who have MS can really answer - our neuros can't - they can only deal with the medical issues and really can't answer - or don't answer - the day to day life questions -

It really is comforting to know that a question can be asked and many of you will read it and do your best to come up with an answer, a comforting thought, or - in Frank's case -an oddly humorous reply or even a sonnet - only mean that in a good way Frank (and Moose too) - a smile sometimes takes away the feeling that the world is closing in - "smile and pass it on is a good thought"

So I thank you all too and this website - I have friends in parts of the country I've only read about and people with whom I can really talk about things that matter to each of us -

Thanks, Frank.

I'm really enjoying getting to know some of you, and catching up with others that I haven't seen in a while. This forum is so good too, because we have the freedom to openly discuss topics without someone jumping in to direct us to a specific conclusion. As if we don't have enough limitations.

I sincerely appreciate your sentiments, this sunny Spring morning in Vancouver. Life is good today.

Cherie
