I just wanted to say something:

I made a huge error in judgement by not talking privately about something that was bothering me. I hope that others can learn from this, it is a valuable lesson. I also want to make it clear that I had some crow to eat, and I did. There are reprecussions to all actions in life and when all is said and done what really matters is loving our neighbors and giving support to all....no matter the difference.

Please spread your hugs throughout the board.....

NOW Y'ALL....ENJOY YOUR SATURDAY NIGHT!!!

Greenjeans and I have worked out our differences, but I wish to publically apologize for any misunderstandings there may have been too.

I have been struggling quite a bit with my health for the past few months, and when I am stuck at home so much I tend to poke my nose into things to distract myself. Perhaps my fear and anger (about MY personal situation) spills over into my postings somehow, but I really do not mean to cause ill-will.

This disease thrives on stress, and I try to avoid it as best as I can. That is one reason I try to offer advice to others; to hopefully pass on some knowledge that might help put their mind at ease.

For me, it has been very important to understand the facts, learn to trust the doctors & test results, and to not sweat the small stuff. That is often where I focus my responses too, in an effort to help people keep things in perspective. I truly have no issue with anyone personally and I am really just trying to pass on information that hopefully can help put a person’s mind at ease about MS, whether they are dx or undx.

I was in “limbo” from 1978 – 1991, and even then only dx me “probable MS”. I understand what it is like to not know why our bodies are not cooperating. I realized early on though, that once all the relevant testing is done and a 2nd opinion is sought, there is nothing anyone could do to hasten the dx process.

I don’t think I am “holier then thou” because they have put a name to what I suffer from. I am (unfortunately TOO) experienced with this MonSter, so feel I am reasonably knowledgeable about the disease, but I don’t think this makes me any “better”.

My (grandiose ) goal is to find the cause and/or cure for MS, and everything I read (or seek clarification on) is in an attempt to do that, hopefully to help myself and others. Hence, my forum interactions tend to stick mostly giving out the facts, as I know them.

In all honesty, I get most of my revelations, for what they are worth , from the newly dx and people in limbo. The more they ask, the more I am motivated to find the answers, and I do go looking for them when I don’t already know (or have forgotten). If by the time I post I come across as being dismissive or a know-it-all, I apologize. I am really just trying to pass on the knowledge they might need, and I usually do that without much schmoozing or warm and fuzzies. I do not mean to offend.

I don’t know most of you here very well, and many of you have long-standing friendships and relationships from another forum. Although I don’t come to the forums to make “friends” . . . I feel fortunate that I have managed to meet many people that I care for and who care for me too. I'm not here to make enemies though either . . . stress is bad!

So, I hope this helps explain things a little, and clarify why I might not always say the right things or in the right way. Please know that I do not have any “personal” issues with anyone here though, and I really do not mean to cause problems.

Thanks for listening.

Cherie

Wow....I can't top that

I just want to concur that after talking to Cherie the past few days we indeed work things out. This is a community unlike any I've seen and everyone should give themself a big hug for being a part of it. Although none of you went through this process like we did, I hope there can be a realization to all that we all have an obligation to consider the feelings of the faceless people behind our words...My words included.

I was deeply sorry for what I did this week and concerned for the well-being of Cherie and her feelings. She is a very deep person with a passion to find a cure, and to help people deal with the crisis in the lives of those posting here. She offers much to this forum. My offer is friendship, support and to make ALL know that someone is reading them and caring about them. Different reasons to be here, but both offering a peice to the pie that makes this the forum that it is.

Spring represents life and renewal. You just watched it bloom....
