Default Ah-one, and Ah-two...

Today is Peggy Lennon's birthday! I've always loved the Lennon Sisters.

I was part of the Lawrence Welk generation, and I never felt that I was being "forced" to watch with my parents or grandparents. I LOVED it!

Larry Hooper hitting those bass notes. Joe Feeney hitting the high ones. JoAnn Castle making that piano do amazing things. Norma Zimmer. Bobby Burgess and Barbara Boylan. Myron Floren playing the accordian while my brother and I polka-d around the living room like little wild people.

Ah, the good old days. Where's my bowl of popcorn?
