OMG please let us know y'all are safe as soon as you are able to.

Everybody else keep your eyes and ears open to the weather and don't take any chances.

All is good here in Houston, just warm and muggy, rain starting to move in.

I think the worst of it is past us now.........

Sissy just called and said they had been in the tornado position for the last 75 minutes lol...
They are dismising school and sending the kids home. The route they normally take home on the buss is flooded so they will have to go around the river ways......
I hate when the kids have to be on the bus when the weather is like this.

Were just getting heavy rain and harsh winds now.......

How is it down your way Dorothy?

So far so good here. Us northern midwest people probably wont get the storms as bad as our southern neighbors. You guys stay safe. And listen Kay, when the dog is sensing it...go to the shelter! lol I think they know more than the weather man anyways. We are in for some strong storms tonight, severe they say. Strong winds, etc. I think we are too cold to get a tornado, but you never know. Last year I lost my screened porch to strong winds.

Stay safe everyone!

FFM!!! DAY!!! OMG! How scary. Please stay safe and update when you can.

FFM - I don't understand why schools do that. During the blizzard of 78 (think that was the year), the schools let us kids out early. My youngest brother who was in elementary school at the time had to walk home a mile in a blizzard (carrying a French horn that was about 1/2 his size). My mom had such a fit because he didn't show up in a timely manner. We had to go search for him during this blizzard in which you could barely see anything. My mom ended up calling the school district over that one and rightfully so.

What are/were they thinking?
