I'm glad some of those 10 plus hours are work time too! Whew! I guess what I really was looking for was leisure time!

And I too also usually am on the computer less on the weekends.

I really feel that sometimes I park here too much!

I think the computer has been a blessing this past year. I met some lovely people on it. Talking to people and playing games has helped my cognition come back to good speed.

But I noticed especially playing games, that I tended to tell my family to wait a minute "I can't come/talk/listen right now, I have to finish this game." No one complained, but it really bugged me, so I'm trying to not be sitting here quite so much!!! On sites, on email I can let it sit and deal with whatever, but those games!!! LOL uh oh!!!!

I spend about 1-3 hours on average. I am trying to only do mornings and the rest of the day not so much. It really all depends on what's happening. If I am into a great discussion it could be all day! lol

I also visit other sites. I visit Ebay, Facebook. Myspace, HealthEVet, Tricare, my bank, credit card and Bill Pay. Oh and the Illinois Senate! Gotta check on those bills being passed!

Funny that you say that, Sandy becuase I have C-Span broadcasts playing on my PC from 5am - 1am each day that I am here. It is amazing how much of our money is just tossed in the trash when there are so moany people in our country whould deserve a little help.

In that vein, did you know that the "Farm Bill" is being discussed for passage. It is designed to help farmers recover from disasters. BUT NOOOOO, some schmuck added a provision to give thoroughbred owners in Kentucky a huge pile of cash (36 million in an ammendment). Does that sound like farm relief? Good grief. And yet, with all of our medical turmoil, the needed provisions to help people in real need are being wiped-out.

It is insane Vic. We had a bad summer two years ago and many farmers lost their farms. Some had been in the family since way back when. Hurricane Katrina hit at the same time. Many are not sure if we lost money to Katrina or it just never happened considering Katrina was a mess as well.

Speaking of watching the live feed of the Senate. I was amazed at how many senators stopped the process to introduce people. They can stop the flow of a bill being passed to introduce Bubba from Tim Buck two? Silly, if you ask me. If the people introduced added some form of substance to a particular bill I could understand the whole process better.

Not to mention we completely missed if the SB 2865 bill even passed to the third reading, which is why we were intent to listen to three hours of jousting. They have yet to update their journals so I can check on it. I honestly don't think anyone is listening during those meetings. The president had to stop to remind the Senate why they were there and to knock off all the talking, laughing and cell phone usage.

PS: Just read that SB2865 Amendment #2 has been sent to the Rules committee. At least it hasn't been tossed out.

OK, back to the scheduled thread. I think Victor and I are on the computer alot. lol

Vic, if I listened to that all day I'd need to add another blood pressure pill!

I'm also always searching for new crochet or knitting patterns, so if I'm not on a forum chatting with someone, I'm probably googling for a crochet pattern.

Erin
Sometimes I can spend more time looking at/for crochet patterns then actual crochet time.

It's amazing how time can go by so quickly when the eyes are glued to the monitor.

I hardly ever watch tv anymore, but I am here a bit much.

Thank you Vic for bringing that bill to our attention.
