Today I was having a rough day, the kind that makes your blood pressure
rise.......

So I took my 4ds and his friend to the park. I brought along bubbles
and it was so fun. I really felt relaxed and as I blew the bubbles
it felt as if my troubles were blowing away.......

Sometimes I feel that way when I color with my children in coloring books.

It seems like blowing bubbles is something almost anyone could do.....

Is there something you do that makes your troubles seem to blow
away??????

This made me think of a joke my 5th grader came home with.


You want to hear a clean joke? Answer: I took a bath with bubbles.
You want to hear a dirty joke? Answer: Bubbles is the name of the girl next door.

Imagine sitting at dinner and having one of your kids tell that one to you.

I remember my 5year old db telling a joke at dinner to my dear grandparents,
......The punchline was "I turned off the lights, flew thru the air and hit
my n*ts on the bedpost, I thought my grandparents were gonna
choke. I still laugh when I think about it now 35 years later.

Bubbles are fun, I'll bet the wiglets loved that. When I feel like floating away, I like to take a ride in the car; sometimes it's a half hour, other times, well, a bit longer.

I put on my music (earphones) and think about being on the beach...listening to the ocean.

Sometimes I just pick up the phone and call a good friend and say we need to meet for COFFEE and we all make some calls and meet. It's so relaxing to sit and talk about nothing in particular.

In the warm months, like tonight, DH and I sit in the swing underneath the tree and talk. Someone usually pulls in and sits w/us for a while, which happened tonight.
